Resource Highlight
Unifying education is one of our nations most pressing missions
Teaching Tolerance
Teaching Tolerance is a website devoted to creating innovative ideas for educators to promote acceptance in the classroom.  More specifically, the Teaching Diverse Students Initiative (TDSI) provides resources for improving the teaching of racially and ethnically diverse students.  Through surveys, modules, and case studies, Teaching Tolerance is able to provide a comprehensive guide to improving teacher efficiency.  The TDSI program focusses mainly on classroom strategies and techniques.  Improving communication and connections between teachers and students is crucial to the retention and growth of students across the nation.  The gap in achievement between non-white and white students is dramatic, but there are tools and strategies teachers can use to close the gap.  With continual support, students are able to flourish and achieve high levels of education, regardless of economic and racial backgrounds.
