IU Pathways Scholarship for Future Teachers
The Indiana University Bloomington School of Education created a scholarship in the fall of 2008 to encourage students from Pathways schools to pursue careers as teachers. Seniors from a Pathways high school (Riley High School, South Bend and Arsenal Tech and Emmerich Manual high schools, Indianapolis) who gain admission to IU Bloomington and plan to major in education are eligible to receive a renewable scholarship of $2,000. Please note that only students majoring in programs offered through the School of Education are eligible. Physical education majors, health education majors, and music education majors are not in the School of Education and are not eligible.
If students maintain adequate progress toward full-admission to their teacher education program of choice (i.e., elementary education, special education, secondary education) in the School of Education and pass the Praxis I before the end of their first academic year, students can renew the scholarship for the following year. For more information, download the flier or visit http://education.indiana.edu/pathways.
If you are interested in admission to IU Bloomington and our scholarship program, please contact Ghangis D. Carter, Director, Office of Recruitment and Retention.
