The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is the single most important document that most families will fill out as their kids prepare for college.
Filling out the FAFSA
Things for Hoosiers to remember when filling out the FAFSA:
- The FAFSA must be received by March 10.
- The question regarding drug use must be completed.
- If you fill out the FAFSA online, both parent and student will need a PIN number, which sometimes take a few days or a week to obtain.

Held in most locations on the second Sunday in February at 2pm local time, College Goal Sunday helps parents and students, particularly those for whom the college experience is new, fill out the FAFSA.
